For those of you who enjoy reading up and coming young poets of our own time, I urge you to purchase your own copy of Lavi's debut publication. She is an incredibly talented, passionate writer who explores the deeper nuances of the mind. Please visit her blog http://thegrinningcrocodile.blogspot.com to acquaint yourself with Ms Boja. ReplyDeleteEnjoy your book, Desiree! I love poetry and I'm heading over to check out her site. I hope you are having a wonderful week, dear friend!
ReplyDeleteDear Desiree, a book I've been expecting came today also! How wonderful to sit down with a hot cup of tea (oh, if only I had a scone, but it's a little too hot to bake today) and read a new book.
ReplyDeleteI'll go to the writer's blog you suggested in your posting today and do some reading there also.
Thank you so much for your comment today on my convent posting. You always seem to understand the underlying motive behind what I write.
As to that outfit--yes, it was hot--the habit was made of seven yards of serge. But somehow at that age I seldom felt the heat. It's only as I've aged that I've become uncomfortable with hot weather.
What happened a lot, however, for me is that my complexion was oily and so the bottom edge of my forehead band stained each week. Also, it incised itself into my forehead and I was left with a permanent crease!
Peace.
What a beautiful setting you have photographed the book on, Desiree! I hope you enjoy your book of poetry. I will pop across to Lavi's blog now. I thought I was a follower, but her blog hasn't come up on my blog list for some time now. Hugs to you.
ReplyDeleteI hope that you have a lovely relaxing time reading your book and that you enjoy every pag.
ReplyDeleteI will definitely look up the the grinning crocodile blogspot in the next few minutes!
